Migration note. If you're on Opus 4.8 today, the price is identical — the switch is a model-string change plus your own eval pass. If you're on Fable 5 (claude-fable-5) for agentic volume, Opus 5 is the obvious candidate to take the execution layer at half rate while Fable keeps the planning/review calls.
Unknowns we're tracking: batch and prompt-caching rates for Opus 5, long-context tiers, and rate-limit defaults weren't fully published in launch coverage. We'll update when Anthropic's docs settle; the email below gets you one line when they do.
